Yes winters here are gloomy, but I dont find them that severe (compared to, say, Chicago). Really the real reason isn't so much economics but sunshine. And that sunshine equals good economics. Dark, cold, and long winter months in Dayton wore on my soul, but 80 degrees in December in Miami, well need I go further.
