Best seen in baroque painting, particularly frescos and murals. There are some examples in the US, too. Anyway, I got to hear Bob Schiffler speak at the Dayton Chamber Breakkfast Briefing on Friday the 14th of March, and this was a big part of his presentation. He showed some wonderful murals from Philly, Chicago, Cleveland, and other cities across America. This is a great idea. If only I could paint...and would not get arrested. If you or others have ideas, continue to post them here. We're also bringing in perhaps the nation's authority on public spaces, the Project for Public Spaces (www.pps.org) in April to study 5th Street and these kinds of placemaking improvements.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7572205562498024454.post-79987913926813114502008-03-15T15:00:00.000-04:002008-03-15T15:00:00.000-04:00Look up and down Jefferson St for some ideal locat...Look up and down Jefferson St for some ideal locations: Price Stores (North side), Air City Garage (N), 24 N Jefferson (S), Bernie's Music (S). Such as a large window that seemingly allows you to see through the building and the view on the other side.Adminhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02309205748663075042noreply@blogger.com
