Urban bikeways in Louisville.

Serendipty.

Dayton Most Metro has a good article on "Complete Streets", and I see examples of this down in Louisville.

This snapshot from a recent visit to Lousiville, illustrating how a bikepath can be incorporated into an exsiting street, with a few cans of traffic-white and a road crew.

This is not the only one in the city: these are on the streets extending out of downtown to the east as well. In this case we are on Third Street, heading south through the "Old Louisville" mansion district. Note that this lane is used for joggers as well as bikers.

This budget approach to bikepaths would be perfect for Dayton as the city as fairly wide streets and isn't too trafficky.
