Along similar lines of Good News in Dayton is this Facebook site. A project of one of the five Creative Region initiatives, this is a way of using social networking media to improve community perceptionss.
From the Description:
In order to improve perceptions of the quality of life in the Dayton Region, this group is designed to celebrate those assets that make Dayton a great place to live.
I'm not into social network sites (I pretty much just use Myspace Music to check up on local bands and their freinds) but if anyone is interested, here is the link.
The "What Makes Dayton Great" discussion has the most posts. Interestingly enough Fred Bartenstein, who used to host the Banks of the Ohio bluegrass show at on WYSO is a member.
