Return of the Gem City Circle Tours.

It looks like the "Gem City Circle Tours" (don't know if they are still calling them this) are starting up again, but now with an Oregon walk added to the two downtown walks.

If you are reading this blog you are probably a history buff to some degree, so these walking tours should be of interest:

NEW OREGON HISTORIC DISTRICT WALK

Oregon Historic walks are three hours with the 11am walks with lunch and 3pm walks with dinner. The walks are all $6.00 each. Lunch will be $10.- 12. at Jay's Restaurant and dinner will be $20. + also at Jay's Restaurant. We'll walk 5th Street and explore the history of businesses of the past and stop at a few current businesses. Then we'll enter the charming residential streets of the Oregon District and see the Dutch architecture house, the stepladder house and many distinctive homes, historic homes of Tecumseh Street, etc. Lunch or dinner will be a private affair at Jay's Restaurant. A minimum of 20 people are required for the walks. All walks meet at Dayton Metro Library, Local History Room, 215 E. Third St., Dayton.
