Two New Dayton-Based Blogs

Two locally-based blogs have come to my attention as their owners actually posted comments here at Daytonology.

So I'd thought I'd feature these two members of the local bloggging community as something diffferent from the type of subjects I blog on, and as a gesture to linking to local folks with an online presence.

Bringing Home the Bacon

Lest we forget the Dayton region still has extensive farm country close at hand. The host of Brigning Home the Bacon is out in rural western Montgomery County, hog farming, but also working in the corporate world. A great slice-of-life personal blog:

Christmas in the Miami Valley

This is a themed blog on...Christmas! Christmas in the Miami Valley, meaning there is a local focus here on local Christmas traditions as well as some general good cheer on our favorite holiday. A recent entry was on the Dayton Ballet's version of the Nutcracker, which is told as a local story while keeping Tchaikovsky's plot line.

It's nice to see some local love going on here on the internets. I did notice there seems to be a dead image link right under the snapshot of Bringing Home the Bacon.

Thank you Jeffrey for this shout-out.

Columbus has been having cool blogger meet-ups. Would be cool to do one here in Dayton.
